About Federturismo Confindustria

Federturismo Confindustria, the national Travel and Tourism Federation, represents the companies operating in the different areas of the tourism industry. It belongs to the Confindustria system and currently includes 25 sector associations, 9 company members (directly associated) and 57 local associations.

Established in 1993 on the initiative of 18 founding members, Federturismo Confindustria was recognized as an Industry Federation by Confindustria in 1995. The President of Federturismo Confindustria is a member of the Confindustria Council.

Federturismo Confindustria officially represents the tourism industry in labour relations. The national labor contract for the member companies was renewed in February 2004.

A Federturismo office in Bruxelles handles relations with the European Union and with the representatives of the tourism industry at the European level.

Represents tourism industry interests in economic policy and labour relations
Provides information regarding tourism policy and legislation
Represents members within and outside the Confindustria system
Promotes entrepreneurial values and sustainable tourism
Provides information and communication about initiatives and activities of interest to members
Promotes training opportunities to further business culture and quality
Develops and promotes relations with similar organizations in other countries and provides assistance to members participating in international events
Conducts research, analysis and debates about tourism supply and demand, and tourism legislation at national and European levels
